Album Review: None Shall Pass

K so this is an album review.. or something like that

Album: Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass

This is Aesop Rock's 5th album and I fucking like it. I only know the lyrics to my 3 favorite songs because those were the only ones I managed to find lyrics for. To be honest I cant understand most of what he says, but I always trust that its fucking dope.. something that's always confirmed once I find the lyrics. The production on this album is amaaaaaaaaaaazing. My favorite beats are on Five Fingers and Coffee and the basslines are fun as a motherfucker to play (on a real bass...) This album in one word: Fucking Ruthless

T-A-K-E N-O P-R-I-S-O-N-E-R-S

Favorite tracks:
Five Fingers
Coffee (especially the second half about pigs)
Getaway Car
None Shall Pass

Call of Duty 4

alright, I was a bit skeptical about getting this game for a console because I'm used to playing it on my computer but let me just say that this game is badass!

The single player is super intense and emersive as always in the call of duty series and now with modern weapons it becomes even more fun. Now you can call in air strikes, fire RPGs, and plant claymores. The COD team did a great job at making it feel like previous versions but still new and fresh with new model animations, new weapons, and new features. Instead of bashing people with the butt of your rifle you can instead snatch out your knife and stab your enemies in the chest. Also when an enemy throws a grenade now you can pick it up and throw it back. They have also come up with new ways to keep the campaign interesting by mixing it up where you have to support ground forces via helicopter etc.

Multiplayer. Now this is a whole different story. First i would like to say that the ranking system is really well done. As you level up you unlock different weapons, gaming modes, challenges, and perks. This keeps you coming back and gives you an incentive to do better and better. I'll come back to perks in a little bit. They also have a new awesome take on kill streaks. Now when you get kill streaks depending on how long your kill streak is you are rewarded.

3 Kill Streak=Radar
5 Kill Streak=Air Strike
7 Kill Streak=Call in a Helicopter

Back to perks. Alright so as you move up the ranking you unlock new perks. Perks are attributes you can add to your weapons that give you a little something extra. A few of my favorites so far are "Deep Impact" and "Last Stand". Deep Impact allows you to blast enemies through relatively thick walls. Its so much fun to see an enemy coming towards you as you duck behind a wall and spray your opponents down. Last stand is also a fun one. This perk is used as you are getting shot down. After you've been shot you are able to pull out your pistol as you lay on the ground and get revenge on your killer. I still have a ways to go and there are many things to unlock but all i can say so far is wow. If you like first person shooters and you haven't picked up this game yet go and get in ASAP you won't be disappointed.
